Present your product concept on one page

The first time you explain a product to a manufacturer, a designer or a possible partner, one clear page beats a long email. Kubikly's presentation page puts your concept on a single printable sheet: a render, the problem, who it is for, size, features, materials, colourways, part list, manufacturing considerations, packaging idea and open questions. It is free, and it starts that conversation rather than replacing it.

Ideas you could start with

  • “Update the brief: the audience is parents of toddlers, not all parents”
  • “Add an open question about whether the lid needs to be dishwasher safe”
  • “Replace the third feature with: nests inside the next size up”
  • “Remove the bamboo material suggestion; we plan to use recycled polypropylene”
  • “Make the tagline shorter and plainer”

What is on the page

The page is laid out so that someone who has never heard of the product understands it in a minute:

  • A render of the concept, so the form is clear before anything is read.
  • The problem and who it is for: the reason the product exists.
  • The size, with each dimension labelled as given by you or proposed.
  • Features, materials with the reasons for them, and the colourways.
  • The part list: every named part with its role, shape, size and material.
  • Manufacturing considerations to check, the packaging idea and the open questions.

Print it, or save it as a PDF from the browser's print window. The part list also downloads as a CSV for anyone who wants it in a spreadsheet.

Preparing the page in Kubikly

  • Read the brief as a stranger would. Correct anything vague by asking, for example “update the brief: it is for commuters who cycle”.
  • Replace proposed sizes with decided ones where you can, such as “make it 22 cm tall”. Leave the rest labelled proposed: that is honest and useful to the reader.
  • Pick the colourway variant you want to lead with and render a Studio shot of it.
  • Go through the open questions. Answer the ones you can; the ones left become the agenda for your first call.

Who reads it, and what it does not promise

A manufacturer or CAD designer can plan the next step faster from one page than from a conversation. A possible partner sees what you mean. A crowdfunding draft or an early conversation with an investor gets a clear picture of the product, which is all a one-page brief can offer. It is not a business case, and it says nothing about whether the product will be funded, can be made at a given cost or will sell.

Be clear with the reader about what the page is: a concept with suggested materials and proposed sizes. The manufacturing considerations are points to check, such as the likely process, wall thickness, draft angles, parting lines and assembly. They are not an engineering review, and the page carries no tolerances, unit prices, supplier lists or certifications.

Before you send it

Your concept stays private to your account until you choose otherwise: you print or save the page and send it yourself, and a share link is optional. If the idea is new and unprotected, think about what you disclose and to whom. An IP professional can advise on non-disclosure agreements and on whether showing the idea could affect protecting it later; this is general information, not legal advice.

Frequently asked

Is the presentation page free?
Yes. Printing it or saving it as a PDF costs nothing, and neither does the part list CSV. Credits are spent on new concepts, renders and model exports.
Can a manufacturer make the product from this page?
Not on its own. It shows the form, the parts, the intent and the open questions, which is what a first conversation needs. A CAD designer or the manufacturer produces the drawings, tolerances and production files.
Can I use it in a pitch or a crowdfunding draft?
You can use it to explain the concept. Label renders as concept renders, keep proposed sizes marked as proposed, and make no claims the page does not support, such as a price, a delivery date or a certification.
How do I change what the page says?
The page is built from your concept, so change the concept: ask in chat to update the brief, change a size or swap a material. Each change is saved with the concept.
