AI jewellery appraisal: the spec sheet and the price, explained

A certified appraiser writes a document insurers accept; that takes days and money. For everything before that, understanding what you own, checking a quote, deciding whether to sell, an AI estimate with its assumptions printed is faster and clearer.

Reads documents

GIA, IGI, HRD reports, invoices and old appraisals: stated values are copied verbatim and marked USER PROVIDED.

Estimates from photos

Stone sizes from the piece as a ruler, metal weight from typical pieces, karat from the regional norm, all labelled ASSUMED until you replace them.

Every situation

New, pre-owned or to be made; natural or lab-grown; about 55 countries.

How it works

  1. 1
    Upload photos

One or more angles of a ring, pendant, chain or bracelet; sketches and renders are fine.

  2. 2
    AI models the construction

Band, setting, prongs, halo, stones and chain links are rebuilt as parametric geometry.

  3. 3
    Calibrate

Give the ring size or one measurement; optionally the karat and stone details.

  4. 4
    Edit by talking

“18K rose gold”, “2 carat centre stone”, “band 0.4 mm thicker”, “show it with emeralds”.

  5. 5
    Weight, price, export

Volume-based gold weight for every karat, the day’s metal value in 25 currencies, STL for casting.

The estimate is built from the same parts a human appraiser uses: metal purity and weight at today's price, stones by size and grade from trade tables, workshop time, margins and tax. The difference is that every line shows its basis, and you can change any assumption and watch the number move.

When you still need a person

Insurance, probate, divorce, disputes and anything signed. Bring the spec sheet with you; it saves the appraiser time.

Frequently asked

Is it a legal appraisal?
No. It is an estimate with sources and ranges. It never claims to identify natural from lab-grown or exact grades from a photo.
What does it cost?
3 credits. Adjusting the situation or details afterwards is free.
Can you tell the karat or the gemstone from a photo?
No, and we never claim to. Karat, gemstone identity and weight cannot be read from an ordinary photograph. The studio labels such values as AI ESTIMATED and lets you enter what you know; the weight estimate is calculated from modelled volume and the alloy density you choose.
How accurate is the gold weight?
As accurate as the geometry. With a ring size or one measurement the range is typically within ±8–12%; hidden metal under stones and hollowed shanks widen the range, which we show explicitly.
